CLOSING?????

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

We were scheduled to close today but alas, the drama continues.  We still await the OK to close from the lender. This process may cause me to start drinking. If you have any blemishes on your credit and yes, we do...then you are slave to a different kind of rhythm that is unpredictable and throws you off your center.  I have never supplied this much information in my life and this is not our first house.  I pray that my nerves can endure this latest setback.  I am a bit down and defeated. I can't get excited about much anymore except the prospect of never having to communicate with the lenders anymore.  This is an ongoing soap opera of the worst kind.  Will we ever get an accurate closing date? Stay tuned....UGH!

  1. I don't understand the drama. They new what your credit looked like prior to building. That's just baffling!

Hopefully, the saga will end soon.

  3. Im sorry to hear of your troubles. Just try to hold on to the fact that if is this difficult now, it will be much greater when you are in the home. The hard part will be over. You will be in my prayers tonight. Stay strong!

  5. Do you have any idea what the hold UP is?? Just want you to know you are not alone!! When we got to this stage I kept close contact with the LO, LP and even asked to talk to the scheduling coordinator to get us on the schedule! I called and emailed consistently! I know once underwriting is complete with the paperwork it typically takes 48 hours to process before they can give you date. They will not budge until your paperwork with the underwriters is complete. Keep calling and the moment they release it call the coordinator. Good Luck!

    1. Yeah Nadase, I'm all over everyone like a bad rash. We submit conditions , get an all clear from the LO only to get more questions and conditions from underwriting. Everyone is sick of me from my constant calls and emails. Underwriting is the holdup. Everyone else is ready to go. After this last submission I am praying. They have all they need. When I tell you that I have sent multiple 50-60 pg faxes, I am not exaggerating. I am at my wits end but I have my finger on everyone's pulse...except underwriting. They are really running the show at this point. Hopefully good news is coming soon.
