ALLEGEDLY A WEEK AWAY!

Monday, February 11, 2013
We are almost 7 days away from closing and I am nervous. Why? The lenders are still asking me for documents (we are not going via NVR), and the house appraised for 4K UNDER the asking price so Ryan is trying to send more comps to the appraiser to be reconsidered.  I don't know how all of this can go to underwriting, approval and settlement in a week.  I feel that tingling one feels when your hair is about to thin or fall out and I am on pins and needles.  Can this all fall to pieces and not happen? It's possible. UGH!  Anyway, the house is just about ready.  The deck needs finishing and the door and trim need painting. Oh, and the SR got funky with me the other day when I went to visit the house.  He was at the model and when I asked if he could let me walk through, he said he couldn't leave the model....This could very well have been the case but he did no bending or negotiating to let me in either.  He is very much on my bad side right now (LOL).  I laugh but it's the little things that you remember especially when the timing is so close and I am so stressed out.  After working in DC and driving directly to the house (1hr and 20 min), "sorry, I can't help you" is not what you want to hear.

Ok,  my bitch fest and pity party is now over.  I will suck it up and keep it moving.  Keep us in your prayers.

    1. Thanks! I'm excited but can't really go all the way there with the excitement because of all the potential hold ups. I'm staying prayerful

  4. Oh its beautiful! Fingers crossed for closing on time! I am really surprised at your PM's reaction. Whenever we wanted to see our house, we would just go in and they would give us the keys and when we were done, we would drop them back off at the model. Why couldn't he just do that?

    1. Cami, that's exactly what I thought! He was being obstinate on purpose (I think). His tune changed after the appraisal came back at 4K under. Isn't that interesting? Thanks for the shout out.

  7. Yes I don't understand why he couldnt give you the key. See I'm kinda pushy and would have insisted on the key....

Sometimes I think the Srs must be like........well I'm done with you, my job is done, nothing else I can for you, so I need to go onto other people now........ I loved my SR, I really did, till we got closer and she always said she couldnt help me really, I brought her food weekly throughout the entire process because I know she was so busy, we have now been in the house 3o days and not even a Congrats on your new house card or a thank you card or NOTHING...

    I'm not surprised.

    1. SMH, I am totally feeling that "I'm done with you" from the SR. Especially after our appraisal fell under the asking price. He's went from, I'll do what I can to shady. So disappointing.
